CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Lee combined to score 31 runs in a doubleheader sweep of the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Friday afternoon, at Butler Field.
The Flames took the opener 9-3, before earning the doubleheader sweep with a 22-11 (5) victory in game two.
GAME ONE: Lady Flames 9 (21-17, 12-9 GSC) | Lady Bucs 3 (13-26, 7-15 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
Lee scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, and held on for the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
Lee outhit the Lady Bucs 10-4.
Mackenzie Puckett had an RBI double.
RJ Simpson smacked her eighth home run of the season.
Kendall Westbrooks and
Kiera Coulon added the other two hits for CBU.
KEY PLAYS:
Lee used a two-RBI single and a two-run home run to take a 4-0 lead after one.
In the second, the RBI double from Puckett cut the deficit to 4-1.
With the hosts leading 7-1, in the sixth, the two-run home run from Simpson made it 7-3.
Lee finished the scoring with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth.

With the Lady Bucs leading 4-2, in the bottom of the second, the Flames plated six runs to take a lead they would not relinquish.
