WHAT HAPPENED:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Shorter raced out to an 8-2 lead and didn't look back, as it took the opening set.
- The Hawks hit .409 in the first set.
- CBU led 5-2 in the early stages of the second set, but Shorter used a 9-4 run to take an 11-9 lead.
- An ace from Kimmy Hammond gave CBU a 19-17 lead, but the Hawks scored eight of the next nine points to take a 2-0 lead.
- In the third set, the Lady Bucs had a 2-0 lead but Shorter took advantage of six quick kills to take a 10-5 lead.
- CBU was unable to get to within four points the rest of the way.
