MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Lady Bucs fought hard, but fell 3-0 to Montevallo Saturday afternoon in the Montevallo Student Activity Center.

WHAT HAPPENED:
Tia Rizvi put in a double-double of 24 assists and 11 digs, but it was not enough as the Bucs record 24 attack errors and 12 service errors to drop the match 3-0 to the Falcons.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- CBU jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead capped off by a kill from Aliyah Babler; however, the Falcons responded with a 4-0 run of their own, taking a 5-4 advantage.
- After pulling within 1 point at 14-13, the Bucs allowed a 7-2 run by Montevallo, before the Falcons took the set 25-18.
- The second set saw both teams battling back-and-forth, but the Falcons used a 6-1 run to take the lead at 17-12. The gap was too much for the Bucs to overcome as another 6-1 run ended the set, giving Montevallo a 2-0 set lead.
- Montevallo used three runs of three or more points in the third set to take a 25-19 set win and a 3-0 match victory.
KEY STATS | NOTABLES:
- Calah Jackson led the Bucs with seven kills; she has now led CBU in kills for four of the last five contests.
- For the third time this season, Jackson had two-or-more aces in a match.
- Rizvi has recorded back-to-back 20+ assist matches, making it the fifth time she has eclipsed the 20+ mark in a match this season.
- With 11 digs against the Falcons, Sofia Rathheim-Hilton recorded her 11th match in which she had double-digit digs.
