Late Goal Helps Lift Auburn Montgomery Past Lady Bucs

MEMPHIS - Auburn Montgomery scored with just under four minutes remaining to defeat the Christian Brothers University women's soccer team 3-2, on Friday evening, at Signaigo Field.

CBU 2 (5-7-3, 3-6-1, GSC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
12' | CBU took the early lead when Yannell Loza curled in a long-range strike, from 25 yards out, to beat the AUM goalkeeper. 
36' | AUM tied the score when Avery Moody took a pass from the top of the box and slid a shot past a diving Chloe Hillyer
HALF | CBU finished the opening half with a 6-2 advantage in shots. 
61' | The Warhawks took the lead when a long-range free kick from Maggie Flanagan hit off the back of Anila Mantello and found its way into the goal.
62' | CBU responded just over a minute later when Alice Legnedahl headed home a rebound, after a shot from Erika Pay hit the crossbar. 
87' | The visitors scored what proved to be the game-winner when Lauren Akemon made a run to the back post and finished a cross from Moody.
90' | CBU had a chance in the dying moments when Legnedahl had a shot hit off the post.
