ROME, Ga. - The Christian Brothers University women's basketball team shot 56 percent through the first three quarters to help it earn a 71-60 win over Shorter, on Thursday evening, at the Winthrop-King Centre.
With the victory, the Lady Bucs swept the season series from the Hawks (86-63, Jan. 7).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Shorter held a brief lead, Kallie Searcy made a jumper to give CBU a 12-10 lead at the midway point of the first quarter.
- CBU used a 9-2 run to take a 19-12 lead, but Shorter closed the gap to 19-14 after the opening 10 minutes.
- The Lady Bucs used a 10-17 shooting performance, including a pair of three pointers to take a 41-23 lead at the half.
- CBU held the hosts to 8-36 shooting in the first half, including just 2-12 from three point range.
- The Lady Bucs shot 8-12 in the third quarter, and led by as many as 24 points to take a 62-39 lead into the fourth quarter.
- Shorter took advantage of 3-16 shooting from CBU to cut into the final margin.
- The Hawks scored seven of the final eight points to finish the scoring.
