LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama hit three home runs in a 5-0 victory over the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Sunday afternoon, at the UWA Softball Complex.
Three of the six UWA hits left the park. Tiger starting pitcher Madison Wright allowed just one CBU hit.
FINAL SCORE: UWA 5 (14-4, 8-1 GSC) CBU 0 (3-9, 0-6 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
The Tigers hit three home runs in the contest, leading to four of their five runs.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Tigers outhit CBU 6-1.
- Mackenzie Bakel had the lone hit for CBU.
- Four of the six Tiger hits were for extra bases.
KEY PLAYS:
UWA opened the scoring in the first with a pair of solo home runs.
In the third, a two-run home run increased the UWA advantage to 4-0.
The hosts finished the scoring with a run in the fourth.
