Lady Bucs Come up Short in Season Opener

MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Tampa in its season opener, on Friday evening, at Signaigo Field. The game marked the first for new head coach Julia Osmond

HOW IT HAPPENED:
7' | The Lady Bucs had two shots in the opening seven minutes, including a header from Flavia Iorio, off a corner, that was saved by the Tampa goalkeeper. 
HALF | CBU outshot the visitors 5-3 in the opening half. 
56' | Tampa scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 56th minute when Tali O'Leary took a long pass over the top of the defense and snuck a shot past CBU goalkeeper Chloe Hillyer
69' | The Lady Bucs had one of their best shots of the match when Cammie Jernigan ripped a shot from long-range that went just over the crossbar.
90' | With 15 seconds left, CBU had a final shot but Luisa Velten had her effort easily saved.
