ROME, Ga. – The Christian Brothers University women's basketball team earned its first road win of the season, defeating Shorter 68-49 on Saturday afternoon, at Winthrop-King Centre.
The 49 points are the fewest allowed by CBU since it defeated Auburn Montgomery 55-43 on Dec. 15, 2018.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Chloe Crawford knocked down a three-pointer to tie the score at eight, at the midway point of the first quarter.
- Jeremia Montgomery knocked down a pair of free throws to give CBU a 14-13 lead, after the first period.
- CBU scored 13 unanswered points to start the second quarter, leading 27-13 with 5:30 remaining in the half.
- The Lady Bucs held Shorter to just three points in the quarter and went into halftime with a 30-16 lead.
- CBU held the Hawks without a made field goal for the entire quarter (0-11). All three Shorter points came from the free throw stripe.
- An Isabella Jones three-pointer gave the Lady Bucs their largest lead of the game, at 40-17, with 6:28 left in the third quarter.
- A free throw by Ever Walker put CBU up 50-32 at the end of the third quarter.
- The Lady Bucs shot 53 percent in the fourth quarter, while holding Shorter to just 33, to secure the win.
