VALDOSTA, Ga. - No. 10 Valdosta State outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 76-53, on Thursday night, at The Complex. 

This marked the second straight game against a top-10 ranked opponent for CBU.

HOW IT HAPPENED  

• The Blazers led 12-4 at the midway point of the opening quarter, but the Lady Bucs scored seven of the final 12 points to cut the deficit to 21-12 after one quarter. 
• Valdosta State led by as many as 17 points, but the Lady Bucs cut the halftime deficit to 34-24. 
• After shooting 53 percent in the first quarter, CBU held the hosts to just 36 percent in the second quarter. 
• VSU used strong defense to outscore the Lady Bucs 23-15, in the third quarter, to increase its lead to 57-39. 
• The hosts used a 7-12 shooting performance, in the final quarter, to finish the game.

• The Blazers finished the game shooting 49 percent, while holding CBU to 37. 
• Valdosta State finished with a 35-16 edge in rebounding. 
• CBU hit 10-12 from the free throw stripe. 
• Kallie Searcy led CBU with a season-high 17 points.
