This marked the second straight game against a top-10 ranked opponent for CBU.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blazers led 12-4 at the midway point of the opening quarter, but the Lady Bucs scored seven of the final 12 points to cut the deficit to 21-12 after one quarter.
- Valdosta State led by as many as 17 points, but the Lady Bucs cut the halftime deficit to 34-24.
- After shooting 53 percent in the first quarter, CBU held the hosts to just 36 percent in the second quarter.
- VSU used strong defense to outscore the Lady Bucs 23-15, in the third quarter, to increase its lead to 57-39.
- The hosts used a 7-12 shooting performance, in the final quarter, to finish the game.
