MEMPHIS, TN. – The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team capped off Senior Night in thrilling fashion with a 3–2 win over Auburn Montgomery on Saturday afternoon at the Memphis Sports and Events Center.
Before kickoff, CBU honored its seniors for their dedication and impact on the program. The celebration carried into the match as the Lady Bucs delivered an inspired performance, highlighted by teamwork, composure, and late heroics.
After AUM struck first in the 11th minute, CBU responded quickly when Ana Dutra netted the equalizer in the 28th minute off an assist from Madison Woolridge. Just three minutes later, Lara Sanchez gave the Lady Bucs a 2–1 lead with a set up by Lia Haggstrom. AUM managed to tie the match again before halftime, but CBU's defense held strong through the second half.
With just over five minutes remaining, Woolridge delivered the match-winner in the 85th minute , her fourth goal of the season, once again assisted by Haggstrom, who finished the night with two helpers.
Kaylee Allen stood tall in goal, collecting three saves, including two crucial stops in the first half that kept CBU in control.
The victory marked a perfect way to close out the home schedule, giving the seniors a memorable farewell in front of family, friends, and teammates.
The Lady Bucs will wrap up their 2025 campaign next week on the road, looking to build on the momentum from their Senior Night win.
