Christian Brothers split a doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist Tuesday losing game one, 5-4, then winning game two by the same 5-4 count.

GAME 1
The two teams battled to a 2-2 tie through six innings before Ouachita Baptist scored three in the top of the seventh to take a 5-2 lead.  However, CBU made a furious rally that came up just one run short.  Haylee Alberson hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to cut the margin to one.  Alberson had two hits on the day.  Ashley Williamson, Katelyn Harmon, Kate Candies and Abigail Garrison added hits for the Lady Bucs.  Gabby Dickerson struck out nine over seven innings of work,

GAME 2
CBU built a 5-0 lead in the first three innings and then held off a late Ouachita Baptist rally to gain the doubleheader split.  Alberson singled in a run in the first inning to break the ice.  Riley Simpson homered to center in the second inning to put CBU up, 3-0.  Candies then doubled in two runs in the fourth to build the 5-0 lead.  Ouachita Baptist scored four runs in the top of the sixth but the Lady Bucs shut them down after that to claim the victory.  Vivian Watts (3-1) pitched the first six innings to get the win and Emily Schooler pitched the seventh to earn her second save of the season.
