CBU won two of three from Valdosta State in Gulf South Conference softball action. The wins were the Lady Bucs' seventh and eighth conference wins of the year. Christian Brothers won the first game, 2-0, and the third game, 6-4. Those were sandwiched around a 14-10 loss in game two. Those were the final home games of the year. CBU travels to Union next weekend for the final series of the season.
GAME 1

Gabby Dickerson pitched a two-hit shutout striking out five. The win pushed Dickerson's record to 9-12 on the season. The Bucs scored their two runs of sacrifice flies by
Summer Alexander and
Kylie Burks.
GAME 2
    In a high scoring affair, Valdosta State won, 14-10. The game had 24 runs scored on 26 hits.Â
Haylee Alberson was 4-for-4 with four RBI for the Lady Bucs.Â
Kate Candies also drove in four on three base hits. Alberson and Candies both homered for CBU, but it was not enough to counter the six (6) home runs by Valdosta State. The Lady Bucs pounded out three doubles in addition to the two homers.
GAME 3
    CBU rallied to win the series finale, 6-4.Â
Gabby Dickerson again pitched a complete game striking out seven to get her tenth win of the season.Â
Abigail Garrison homered and drove in three to pace the Lady Bucs offensively.Â
Summer Alexander had two hits and drove in two.
