MEMPHIS, Tn. – The Christian Brothers University volleyball team battled hard but dropped a 3–0 decision to West Florida on Saturday afternoon inside Canale Arena (25-12, 25-20, 25-12).

The Lady Bucs (5-9, 0-3 GSC) found their rhythm in the second set, pushing the Argonauts throughout and keeping the score tight with 12 kills and a .200 hitting percentage in that frame.

Sarah Helms led the offense with an efficient day, finishing with 6 kills on a blistering .545 hitting percentage, while also adding a block. Addison Waggoner chipped in 5 kills, 6 digs, and a service ace, and Carleiny Morillo directed the attack with 8 assists, 3 kills, and 4 digs.

Defensively, Sophia Nowacki anchored the back row with a team-high 10 digs, while Calah Jackson and Abby Wheaton provided a presence at the net, each recording blocks. Ava Hillyer also contributed 6 assists and 2 digs off the bench.

The Lady Bucs tallied 21 kills, 33 digs, and 4 total blocks, showing balance across the lineup.

CBU will look to build on the strong stretches of play as they continue Gulf South Conference action next week.
