Free Throws and Fight: Frazier Powers CBU in Road Test at Lee

Cleveland, TN- Christian Brothers never stopped competing, but Lee's balance and timely shooting proved decisive in a 63–45 loss Saturday afternoon at Walker Arena.

Donee' Frazier was the engine for CBU from start to finish. The junior guard poured in 29 points, attacking relentlessly and living at the free-throw line, where she went 15-for-19. She scored in every quarter and kept the Lady Buccaneers within striking distance through physical play and constant pressure on the rim.

CBU hung around early. After Lee opened the game with a short run, Frazier answered with a layup to briefly give Christian Brothers its only lead of the afternoon. The Bucs trailed just 17–11 after one quarter and stayed within five at halftime, grinding out points despite cold shooting from the field.

The third quarter swung the game. Lee stretched the floor and found rhythm offensively, using a 14–0 scoring run to build its largest separation. The Flames shot 50 percent in the period and knocked down timely three-pointers, while CBU struggled to find perimeter shots, finishing 0-for-8 from three on the day.

Still, the effort never dipped. Mya Bourget battled inside for eight rebounds and chipped in six points. Mariah Curley anchored the glass with nine rebounds, adding four assists and steady ball movement. Emily Sawyer gave CBU a lift off the bench, scoring four points and competing defensively in limited minutes.

Christian Brothers finished with 34 rebounds and 21 made free throws, showing toughness in the paint and at the line. Lee countered with depth and efficiency, getting 18 bench points and four players in double figures to control the final stretch.

The final score favored the home team, but the numbers tell a fuller story: resilience, physicality, and a standout performance from Frazier that kept CBU fighting for forty minutes.
