CBU falls short

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team fell 8-1 to Union University on Wednesday night at Smith Memorial Soccer Complex.

Union scored five first-half goals and added three more after the break. The Lady Bucs continued to battle, with Cristal Tellez finding the back of the net in the 64th minute to put CBU on the board.

Goalkeeper Kaylee Allen recorded seven saves while facing 27 shots from the Bulldogs. Despite the result, CBU showed continued effort in the second half, highlighted by Tellez's goal.

The Lady Bucs will look to bounce back as they continue Gulf South Conference play.
