Christian Brothers University dropped its conference game to UAH on Thursday night at Canale Arena, 68-46. The Bucs kept the game close early, but could not keep pace with a strong third quarter from the Chargers.
CBU was led by Alice Conrad, who posted 17 points and 15 rebounds for a double-double. Mariah Curley added 8 points, while Hanne Alvarez chipped in 7 points. The Bucs finished with 38 rebounds and scored 24 points in the paint, showing strong inside effort.
As a team, CBU shot 27.9 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from three-point range, while going 8-for-9 at the free throw line. UAH pulled away in the third quarter with a 27-point period to build separation.
The Bucs will look to build on their interior scoring and rebounding as they continue conference play.
