Game 1 — Christian Brothers 0, West Florida 4
Pensacola, FL- Christian Brothers opened the Gulf South Conference series in Pensacola battling defensively and on the mound, but couldn't get the offense going in a 4-0 loss.
Emily Schooler kept the Bucs in the game early, working through traffic and limiting big innings despite seven hits allowed across six innings. The defense made several plays behind her to keep the Argonauts from breaking it open.
CBU scattered four hits on the day. Marin Beeson, McKenzie Shinabery, Kate Candies and Ashley Williamson each recorded hits, and Shinabery even swiped a base to spark momentum. However, timely hitting never arrived, as the Bucs were unable to push a runner across the plate.
West Florida took advantage of a first-inning error to grab the lead, added another run in the fifth, and finally created separation with a two-run sixth inning to secure the conference win.
Despite the shutout, Christian Brothers stayed competitive defensively and kept the game within reach into the late innings.
Game 2 — Christian Brothers 2, West Florida 10
Game two started with promise for the Bucs as they struck first.
Marin Beeson reached base and eventually scored when Lily Hurley delivered an RBI single in the opening inning, giving Christian Brothers an early 1-0 lead. The Argonauts answered immediately and gradually pulled away with multi-run innings.
Christian Brothers continued to swing the bats well, finishing with 10 hits.

The Bucs added another run in the fourth when Harmon drove in Mackenzie Gieseler, trimming the deficit to 4-2 and keeping the game competitive midway through.
West Florida's lineup eventually broke through late, scoring four runs in the sixth inning to create the final margin. Even in the loss, Christian Brothers produced consistent contact and offensive pressure throughout the game.
Game 3 — Christian Brothers 1, West Florida 3
The final game of the set was the tightest contest of the weekend and showcased one of the Bucs' best pitching performances of the series.
Christian Brothers jumped ahead in the first inning when Marin Beeson doubled and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Kate Candies for a 1-0 lead.
Emily Schooler was sharp in the circle, allowing just four hits over six innings and keeping a strong West Florida offense contained for most of the game.
West Florida tied the game in the bottom of the first and took control in the fourth inning with a two-run homer. From there, the Bucs threatened multiple times, including two hits from Marin Beeson but were unable to find the tying run.
Christian Brothers finished with five hits, including contributions from Beeson, Shinabery, Barrow and Davis, but stranded key baserunners late.

Across the three games, Christian Brothers showed steady pitching and defensive effort while the offense improved as the series progressed. The second and third games especially demonstrated the Bucs' ability to compete in conference play, generating hits, early leads, and late-inning pressure against a strong West Florida squad.
