This one stayed scoreless through six innings. Emily Schooler kept West Alabama in check, allowing just three hits over seven innings.
In the seventh, West Alabama broke through with two home runs. CBU managed two hits on the day, with Katelyn Harmon and McKenzie Shinabery recording singles. The game was tight throughout before the late swing decided it.
February 28, 2026 – Game 2
West Alabama 9, CBU 8
The second game was a back and forth contest. West Alabama scored early, but CBU responded in the third with home runs from Marin Beeson and Katelyn Harmon to take a 3 to 2 lead.
West Alabama answered with a five run fifth inning, highlighted by a three run homer from Kayla Morris. CBU kept pace. Beeson added another home run, and Mackenzie Gieseler hit a three run shot in the seventh to make it a one run game. The Bucs finished with 13 hits, including four from Beeson, but West Alabama added an insurance run in the ninth to secure the win.

West Alabama 7, CBU 0
West Alabama scored in the first and added on steadily, including a four run fifth inning.
CBU recorded three hits in the game, with Katelyn Harmon collecting a double. West Alabama's pitching limited scoring chances, and the Bucs were unable to break through.
