Memphis, TN- Christian Brothers opened the match with a competitive showing in doubles play but could not sustain momentum as Harding secured a 6–1 victory on Tuesday.
In doubles action, the Buccaneers fought hard across all three courts but came up short. The duo of Benjamin Hanriot and Juan Ycaza put together a strong effort before falling 7–5 in a tightly contested match. Harding followed with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, taking those courts 6–3 and 6–2 to claim the early point.
CBU found its lone breakthrough in singles play at the top spot. Hanriot delivered an impressive performance at No. 1 singles, battling through three sets to defeat Adrian Solorzano. After dropping the opening set, Hanriot responded with a 6–3 second set before edging out a 10-point tiebreak to secure the Buccaneers' only point of the match.
Harding, however, controlled the remainder of singles competition. Sebastian De Las Salas defeated Juan Ycaza in straight sets, while Cian Mikkelsen, Caleb Folse, Luis Agullo, and Jan Alexander Has each earned convincing wins on their respective courts. Several matches were decided in straight sets, limiting CBU's chances to build momentum.
