MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Christian Brothers University senior setter Carleiny Morillo has been named to the 2026 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Preseason All-Conference Team, while the Buccaneers were picked to finish fifth in the GSC Coaches Preseason Poll.
Morillo enters her senior season after serving as a key piece of the CBU offense in 2025. She played in all 32 matches and 120 sets, leading the Buccaneers with 751 assists and 6.26 assists per set. The setter also made an impact defensively, finishing second on the team with 270 digs, while adding 24 service aces, 40 kills and 24 total blocks.
The preseason recognition places Morillo among nine players selected from across the conference and gives the Buccaneers an experienced leader heading into the 2026 campaign.

Bucs Ready for 2026
CBU opens the 2026 season on Friday, Aug. 28, with matches against Shorter and Ohio Dominican at the Ray Thrasher Memorial Tournament in Nashville.
With Morillo returning to direct the offense and the Buccaneers projected to finish among the top half of the GSC, CBU enters 2026 looking to turn preseason expectations into a postseason run.
The Bucs begin their journey Aug. 28 in Nashville.
