Christian Brothers University is proud to announce several local companies supporting student-athletic scholarships through sponsoring the Buccaneer Athletic Fund. Local companies that have made 2007-2008 commitments with BAF include Campbell Clinic Orthopedics, DAC, Huey's, Fidelity Investments, and Follett Corporation.
Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics is the Official Sports Medicine Provider for CBU. Campbell Clinic is recognized as a world leader in sports medicine, pediatric orthopaedics, joint replacement, orthopaedic oncology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and surgery of the hand, hip, foot, knee, shoulder and spine. Campbell Clinic is an All-Sport Sponsor with sponsorships at all four athletic facilities on campus (Canale Arena, Buc Baseball Field, Signaigo Soccer Field and Bland Softball Field).
DAC opened their first location in Southaven, Miss., in 1999. Then known as DeSoto Athletic Club, they soon expanded to Olive Branch, Miss., while soon afterwards landing the contract to manage the municipal Collierville Community Center in 2004. DAC have plans to open seven more facilities in the Memphis-metro area that will offer a variety of classes and programs to ensure a more healthy community atmosphere. DAC is a sponsor of Canale Arena and Buc Baseball Field.
Huey's has been serving Blues, Brews and Burgers since 1970 in the Memphis area. Huey's has been voted "Best Burger" by Memphis Magazine every year since 1984. Sundays at Huey's are renowned for its live music - jazz in the afternoon, blues and rock at night, spotlighting local and regional groups. Huey's is a sponsor of Canale Arena.
Fidelity Investments in Germantown, Tenn., sponsors the $10,000 Shooting Challenge that takes place during halftime of all GSC men's basketball contests. Visit Fidelity at www.fidelity.com for any needs toward investing, trading and retirement services.
Follett Higher Education Group is the sponsor for the $250 CBU Bookstore 3-point Challenge that takes place during halftime of all of CBU's GSC women's basketball contests.
