Dave Belcher is in his fifth season as CBU's head men's golf coach, and he is in his third season as women's golf coach.
Belcher's men's golf teams have become increasingly competitive in the Gulf South Conference, leading them to back-to-back top-six finishes, the highest since the school joined the GSC. He has coached four Academic All-GSC golfers, and in 2014, he coached Carter Billingsley to an individual berth in the NCAA South/Southeast Super-Regional Championships, the school's first NCAA regional berth in golf.
The lifelong Memphian has been involved with the Mid-South Junior Golf Association for the last 20 years, where he helped guide his daughter, Kellye, to the Tennessee Junior PGA Tour Player of the Year award and two USJG Tour Player of the Year awards.
Belcher, a lifelong Memphian, ran his own business for 15 years. He and his wife, Debbra, have been married for 31 years, and they have three daughters and eight grandchildren. His daughter, Kellye, played golf for Indiana and previously served as CBU's golf coach. He is no stranger to the GSC, as he served as a women's basketball referee in the conference for 20 years.
