Kathryn Reed is in her first season as a member of the CBU softball coaching staff.
Reed comes to CBU after earning first team All-American Southwest Conference and Second Team All-Region honors at East Texas Baptist (NCAA Division III).
The Axtell, Texas native finished her senior season (2022) with a 12-5 record with a 1.61 ERA. She also finished third in the league with 105 strikeouts in 104 innings. Opponents hit just .184 against the right hander.
Reed started her career at Mary Hardin-Baylor (NCAA Division III) While at UMHB, Reed was a Second Team All-ASC selection and a NFCA Second Team All-Region honoree. She finished her freshman campaign 15-4, with a 2.14 ERA, with 90 strikeouts, in 118 innings.
Reed finished her playing career with a 31-11 record with a 1.99 ERA and 227 strikeouts in 259.2 innings.
