Samantha Davidson | Head Women's Basketball Coach

Samantha Davidson enters her second season as head coach of the Christian Brothers University women's basketball program in 2026-27, continuing to build the Buccaneers around player development, accountability, defensive effort and success beyond the court.

In her first season at CBU, Davidson inherited a program in transition and began laying the foundation for the future. The Buccaneers finished the 2025-26 season 3-25 overall and 0-22 in Gulf South Conference play. CBU averaged 36.4 rebounds, 11.4 assists, 7.2 steals and 2.1 blocked shots per game.

Davidson arrived at CBU after serving as head coach at Schreiner University. During her tenure, her student-athletes collected multiple All-SCAC honors, including four second-team selections, four third-team selections, an honorable mention and a Newcomer of the Year award. Fourteen student-athletes were also named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

Before Schreiner, Davidson spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Rhodes College, where she helped develop five All-SAA selections. During her time with the Lynx, Rhodes finished among the conference's top three in every defensive category and ranked second in three-point shooting.

Davidson previously served as an assistant coach at The Webb School in Tennessee, helping the program capture a state championship. She also spent a season at the University of Tennessee working under Hall of Fame head coach Pat Summitt.

As a student-athlete, Davidson was a four-year player and three-year starter at Birmingham-Southern College. She finished her career ranked among the program's top five in assists and inside the top 10 in three-pointers made, three-point percentage and free-throw percentage.

At CBU, Davidson continues to emphasize the development of well-rounded student-athletes through accountability, respect, resilience, academics and community involvement.
