Taryn Towns is in her second year as assistant coach at CBU after graduating from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.

While at Samford, she led the Bulldogs to two 20-win seasons and a 77-45 record in her four years.

Towns played 119 games, second-most in school history, and also ranks in the top 10 in Samford history in career scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, free throws, three-pointers, and games started.

Towns was a three-time All-District and All-Region player at Bolton HS and was named to the Commercial Appeal Best of Preps All-Metro Team three seasons.
