Michael Brice enters his fifth year as head coach of the Christian Brothers University men and women's golf teams. He was introduced as Head Men and Women's Golf Coach, on July 28, 2017.

Brice joins CBU after spending three years as the Director of Golf Instruction for The First Tee of Greater Austin and as an assistant coach for NCAA Division III Concordia University (Texas). He helped Concordia's men to a 19th place finish at the DIII national championships this past year, while the women's program was ranked in the top 50. He oversaw programming for more than 1000 youth golfers and provided lessons for more than 100 area golfers during his time with The First Tee.

"I am very excited to join the CBU family," said Brice. "I want to thank Director of Athletics Brian Summers for believing in my ability to run CBU's golf programs and take the teams to the next level. I also want to thank Donna Crone, Greg Eller and the CBU coaching staff for their support. Lastly, I would like to thank Concordia University golf coach Chris Hill for being an excellent mentor to me and helping me develop as a golf coach. Our golf teams will excel both on and off the course and I cannot wait to get started."

Prior to his time in Austin, Brice was the head girls' golf coach for Rossview High School in Clarksville, Tenn., an assistant coach for NCAA Division I University of North Florida, played extensively on professional mini tours, and played collegiately at Auburn.

At Rossview, he led the team to a 54-3 record, district and regional titles in 2013 and a class AAA state runner-up finish. He also received the Coaches Award for Division I AAA in Tennessee.

His professional playing career included stops on the Hooters, Adams Professional Golf, Gateway, Tarheel, Dakotas, and minorleaguegolf.com Tours. He has eight professional wins to his credit and his low round in a professional tournament is a final round 64 at the PGA Tour Latin America Venezuela Open.  He also holds a course record in Philadelphia, PA with a 61.  Meanwhile in college, he was part of an Auburn squad that was ranked in the nation's top 10 and was anchored by PGA Tour major champion Jason Dufner.

Brice graduated from Auburn with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance/Sport Management. He and his wife Meghan have a son, Maverick.Â
