Andrew Sharp

Andrew Sharp begins his first season as Assistant Baseball Coach at Christian Brothers University.  Sharp joins CBU after serving last season as an assistant coach at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia.

While at Concord, Sharp worked with catchers and hitting while also recruiting and developing scouting reports on opponents in addition to coaching first base. During his time there, Concord batted .326 as a team pounding 46 homers. They scored 346 runs in just 46 games compiling a .493 slugging percentage. Prior to his time at Concord, Sharp was a graduate assistant at West Virginia State University and also taught private lessons for four years.

Sharp began his collegiate career playing one season at Kentucky Wesleyan before transferring to West Virginia Tech where he was selected All-Conference both years playing third base.  He played his final season at West Virginia State where he was chosen as the Comeback Player of the Year. He played extensively in college summer leagues starting with the Ohio Valley League in 2018. In 2019, he played in the Great Lakes Collegiate League following that with a 2020 stint in the Florida Gulf Coast League. In 2021, he played in the Coastal Plains League and then finished in 2022 in the Prospect League in Missouri.

Originally from Grayson, Kentucky, Sharp received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from West Virginia Tech and his master’s degree in Sports Studies from West Virginia State.
