CBU Announces Athletic Hall of Fame

MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University athletics department announces the formation of the Christian Brothers University Athletic Hall of Fame.

The first class will be enshrined at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Friday, Jan. 29., as part of Homecoming Weekend.  The inductees will also be recognized during the Homecoming basketball game Saturday afternoon.

Former student-athletes, coaches and staff, and other individuals who contributed to the advancement of CBU athletics are eligible for the Hall of Fame.

Nominations for the Hall of Fame will be accepted through the online nomination form, or the PDF version of the form may be submitted via mail or fax.  Nominations are open to the public.

The Hall of Fame Committee will comprise members of the athletics staff as well as representatives of alumni, Advancement, Student Life, and the Hall of Fame membership.  CBU Director of Athletics Joe Nadicksbernd will be the committee chair.

The committee will choose the Hall of Fame inductees from among the nominees based on the selection criteria, and they will announce the inductees this fall.

The inaugural class will honor eight to 10 inductees, while subsequent classes will feature a maximum of five.

More information about the Hall of Fame, as well as ticket information for the induction banquet, will be announced at a later date.
