ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs wrapped up their Gulf South Conference schedule Sunday afternoon by winning 5-2 at Ouachita Baptist after OBU claimed a 9-1 win in the first game.

In the opener, OBU (36-22, 14-16 GSC) scored two runs in the second inning on two errors, two hits, and a walk to start the scoring.

The Lady Bucs (17-29, 6-20) scored their only run of the game in the top of the third as Casey King (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound HS) belted a one-out homer.

OBU tacked on four runs in the fourth and three in the fifth to set the final margin at 9-1.

Kathleen Nelson (Bartlett, Tenn./Bolton HS) went 2-for-3 in the game, while King and Jessica Ambers (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) added one hit each.

In the nightcap, the Lady Bucs opened the scoring in the top of the first inning as Alana Kramer (Jackson, Tenn./North Side HS) blasted a two-run homer, her school-record sixth home run of the season.  King followed with a one-out solo homer in the top of the second to give the Lady Bucs a 3-0 lead.

The Lady Tigers scored two runs on a Kayci Wilson in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead back to 3-2, but the Lady Bucs scored two more in the sixth to put the game away.  Alyse Brewer (Florence, Ala./Florence HS) started the inning with a single, and Emily Schmidt (Olive Branch, Miss./Center Hill HS) followed with a one-out single.  An error brought Brewer home, and Schmidt scored on a Shanae Farrell (Memphis, Tenn./Whitehaven HS) base hit.

Michelle McEachron (Carlsbad, Calif./La Costa Canyon HS) earned the win as she held OBU to two runs on six hits with no walks and eight strikeouts, moving to 9-8 on the season.  Nelson and Brewer each went 2-for-4, while Kramer drove in two runs.
