The Lions (33-11, 16-8 GSC) used a two-out double in the top of the first to score the game's first run in game two. The Lady Bucs (9-17, 5-15) answered in a big way in the bottom of the inning. Marie Joiner (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente HS) led off with a single up the middle, and Nikki Story (Southaven, Miss./Southaven HS) legged out a bunt single. Three straight walks pushed two runs across before Sammi Canizaro (Nesbit, Miss./Horn Lake HS) hit a two-run single to give the Lady Bucs a 4-0 lead. Four straight RBI singles by Emily Schmidt (Olive Branch, Miss./Center Hill HS), Amy Gracia (Fontana, Calif./International Polytechnic HS), Joiner, and Story pushed the lead to 8-0 before Taylor Rosa-Ramon (Ewa Beach, Hawaii/James Campbell HS) capped the scoring with a three-run homer down the left-field line.

UNA scored single runs in the second and third innings on a pair of solo homers, but the Lady Bucs added two runs to their lead in the bottom of the third inning. Rosa-Ramon and Tiari-Jay Fernandez (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani HS) singled, and Canizaro hit an RBI single to right to score Rosa-Ramon, and she stayed in a run-down long enough to allow Fernandez to score as well.

The Lady Bucs tacked on another tally in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI groundout by Story after back-to-back singles by Gracia and Joiner. UNA scored once in the fifth on three singles to set the final margin.

Joiner went 3-for-4 in the game, while Story, Rosa-Ramon, Canizaro, and Gracia collected two hits each. Story, Rosa-Ramon, and Canizaro each drove in three runs, while Rosa-Ramon scored three runs.

They added four more in the fourth on a walk, a hit batter, and four singles. A single tally in the fifth on a pair of singles and a sacrifice fly set the final margin.
