MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs scored a pair of second-half goals as they claimed a 2-0 win over Alabama-Huntsville Friday night at Signaigo Field.
The Lady Bucs (8-1, 4-1 GSC) dominated the action in the first half, out-shooting the Lady Chargers (3-6, 2-3) 13-2, but they were unable to find the net. That changed early in the second half, as
Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) found the net in the 48th minute off an assist from
Mariana Tonelli (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) for the only goal CBU would need.
Lydia Fuson (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) tacked on another score in the 64th minute as she scored her first goal of the season.
For the game, the Lady Bucs out-shot UAH 28-2, including an 11-1 edge in shots on goal.
Robyn Wade (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) made one save as she earned her fifth shutout of the season.
The Lady Bucs return to action Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they host West Alabama. Their makeup game against Rhodes scheduled for Wednesday night has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
