MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs collected their highest block total in six years as they knocked off second-place North Alabama in four sets Tuesday night at Canale Arena.

The Lady Bucs (8-8, 6-5 GSC) set the tone early, with five blocks in the first set, including four of the final six points, as they won the opening set 25-18. UNA (11-5, 8-3) answered with a 25-23 win in the second set, scoring five of the final seven points after CBU had taken a 21-20 lead. The Lady Bucs built a quick 6-1 lead and never trailed in the fourth set, going on to win 25-21. In the fourth set it was UNA who started strong, building a 5-1 lead, but the Lady Bucs answered with a five-point run to regain the lead, later using a six-point run to take the lead for good at 14-9 on a Mary Kathryn Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) kill. They pulled away to a 25-15 win to complete the victory.

Miller collected a career-high nine total blocks, a team season-high and tied for 15th in school history.
