Box Score MEMPHIS-In a game that featured four lead changes, visiting West Alabama scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to claim an 8-6 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Monday morning at Bland Field.
The Tigers (21-16, 8-9 GSC) opened the scoring in the top of the first inning with a Jordyn Whiddon home run. The Lady Bucs (5-26, 1-17) answered in the bottom of the inning.

Taylor Rosa-Ramon (Ewa Beach, Hawaii/James Campbell HS) laid down a squeeze bunt to score Joiner to tie the game.
Kylie Steagall (San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS) followed by launching her sixth home run of the season, moving her into a tie for second place on CBU's single-season home run list as she gave CBU a 2-1 lead.
UWA used a two-run Rebecca Schick homer in the second inning to regain a 3-2 lead, but Steagall answered again in the bottom of the second. Joiner hit a two-out single to spark the rally, and walks to Gracia and Rosa-Ramon loaded the bases. Steagall smashed a double into the gap in right-center to clear the bases, giving CBU a 5-3 lead.
UWA answered with three of their own in the top of the third on an error, an RBI single and a two-run homer by Whitney Brown, giving them a 6-5 lead.
Bianca Cowan (Byhalia, Miss./Center Hill HS) tripled down the left field line to start the fourth inning for CBU, and Joiner scored her with a sacrifice fly to center to tie the game.
Neither team would score again until the top of the eighth. UWA used a single and a double to put runners on second and third with none out, and Scarlett Wright hit a two-run single up the middle to give UWA an 8-6 edge. The Lady Bucs couldn't take advantage of a one-out
Ali Hare (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida Baker HS) walk in the bottom of the seventh as UWA held on to win.
Joiner and Steagall collected two hits each for CBU, with Joiner scoring two runs and Steagall driving in four runs.
The Lady Bucs return to action Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they visit Stillman. Their next home game is Saturday at 1 p.m., when they host Union for a GSC doubleheader.
