Lady Choctaws Edge Lady Bucs in Overtime

MEMPHIS-Visiting Mississippi College scored a 107th-minute golden goal as they claimed a 1-0 double-overtime victory over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Choctaws (8-1-3, 4-1-2 GSC) scored the game's only goal in the 107th minute, when Lauren Smith headed in a corner kick from Sayit Mejia Bello for her third goal of the season.

KEY STATS:
• The game was evenly played, with both teams taking 10 shots, though CBU (7-4-1, 4-3-1) held a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. CBU out-shot the Lady Choctaws 7-2 in the first half, while MC held a 5-3 edge in the second half and a 3-0 edge in the overtimes.
Melissa Tammi (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) took a game-high five shots for the Lady Bucs.
Emily Wragg (Nottingham, England/The Becket School) made one save and snuffed out several other threatening chances.
