Lady Bucs Rally Past Bobcats 3-1

CARROLLTON, Ga.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs conceded the first goal in the first half, but they scored the next three to claim a 3-1 win over Georgia College in their final non-conference game of the season Monday afternoon at University Field on the campus of West Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Bobcats (6-7-2) opened the scoring in the 26th minute. After a long punt from Bobcat keeper Jessica Catapano, neither team could gain possession until Anya Mancinelli won the loose ball and dribbled in to score unassisted.
• The Lady Bucs (8-5-1) equalized in the 41st minute, when Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) sent a cross from the left side into the box for Ellen Garner (Pulaski, Tenn./Giles County HS), who scored her second goal of the season.
• Another Rodrigues pass led to what proved to be the game-winner in the 68th minute, as she found Mariana Tonelli (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) at the end of a long pass from near the midfield circle, and Tonelli scored for her fifth goal of the year.
Lauren Magdefrau (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons HS) scored her first goal of the season in the 72nd minute as she scored 1-v-1 after a long throughball from Gabrielle Pilgrim (Rockford, Mich./Rockford HS).
