Lady Flames Top Lady Bucs 3-0

CLEVELAND, Tenn.-three different players scored goals as host Lee claimed a 3-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Flames (9-4-2, 8-2-0 GSC) struck first in the 40th minute, when Kinsey Cichowitz scored off the rebound after Autumn Woods (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) saved the initial shot by Mia Hollingsworth.
• In the 51st minute, Lee's Summer Lanter scored after a long throughball from McKenzie Bricker.
• The Lady Flames set the final margin in the 83rd minute as Lauren Peters headed in a cross from Bricker to extend the Lee lead to 3-0.

KEY STATS:
• The Lady Flames out-shot CBU (8-6-1, 4-5-1) 17-8, including a 7-5 edge in shots on goal.
Autumn Woods (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) made four saves for CBU.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs have two games left, both critical for their Gulf South Conference tournament hopes. They visit Shorter Sunday at noon before wrapping up the regular season at home against Union Friday night at 5 p.m. With two games remaining, CBU and Union are tied for the sixth and final berth in the GSC Tournament with 13 points, while Shorter sits one point behind with 12.
