Lady Bucs Down Lady Hawks 1-0

ROME, Ga.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs moved into sole possession of sixth place in the Gulf South Conference standings with one game remaining Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 win at Shorter.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After the Lady Bucs (9-6-1, 5-5-1 GSC) were unable to score on their first 17 shots, Ingrid Mello (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) found the net in the 82nd minute as she scored unassisted for the game's only goal.

KEY STATS:
• The Lady Bucs out-shot Shorter (7-9, 4-7) 20-8 for the game, including an 8-2 edge in shots on goal.
Autumn Woods (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) made a pair of saves as she earned her second clean sheet of the season.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Lady Bucs celebrate Senior Day Friday night at 5 p.m. as they host Union for their final regular season game. With 16 points, CBU sits three points ahead of Union for the sixth and final berth in the GSC Tournament. CBU would clinch a berth in the tournament with a win or a tie, while Union would clinch with a win over CBU.
