PENSACOLA, Fla.-No. 21 West Florida swept the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night to remain unbeaten in Gulf South Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Argos (13-2, 6-0 GSC) never trailed in the opening set, building leads of 5-1, 14-7 and 21-13 en route to a 25-17 win.
• CBU (5-8, 2-5) led for much of the second set, using a 5-1 burst to take a 17-12 lead, but the Argos answered with an 8-1 run of their own to take a 20-18 edge. The Lady Bucs battled back to tie the match at 23 and 24, but the Argos scored the last two points to win 26-24.
• The Argos used a 14-4 run early in the third set to take control with a 17-8 lead. CBU battled back within 21-15, but the Argos scored the final four points to complete the sweep.
KEY STATS:•
Alexis Gillis (Corpus Christi, Texas/Carroll HS) had 11 kills, 10 digs and two blocks for the Lady Bucs.

Blythe Clausen (Hendersonvile, Tenn./Pope John Paul II HS) notched a team-high 13 digs, matching her career-best set at Lee last week.

Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS) dished out 24 assists with eight digs.
WHAT'S NEXT:The Lady Bucs visit Valdosta State tomorrow night at 6 p.m. They open their longest homestand of the season Tuesday night at 6 p.m. as they step out of GSC play to face Southern Arkansas.
