Xavi Lao (Barcelona, Spain, Escola Pia Sabadell) scored the game-winning goal in the final seconds to lift the Bucs to a 2-1 win at No. 11 Lee Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• Despite playing a man down after a 57th-minute red card, the Flames (10-3-2, 5-1-1 GSC) struck first in the 68th minute as Robbie Cutchin scored on a one-timer off a cross from Quade Marinell.
• The Bucs (11-4-0, 4-3-0) equalized in the 79th minute as Lao headed in a corner kick from
Brendan Bennett (Belfast, Northern Ireland/St. Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School).
• Lao's game-winner came off a set piece in the 90th minute. The Bucs drew a foul in the game's final seconds. Off the free kick, Lao won a loose ball in the box and shot it into the corner of the net as time expired for the game-winner.
KEY STATS:• The Bucs out-shot Lee 11-10 for the game, including a 4-2 edge in shots on goal.
