MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs hit .327 as they swept a three-set match from visiting Mississippi College Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Lady Bucs (8-15, 4-9 GSC) jumped to an 11-3 lead early in the opening set, and they never alowed MC closer than seven points again as they rolled to a 25-16 win.
• In the second set it was the Lady Choctaws (2-22, 1-12) who took an early 8-3 lead, and MC led as late as 20-18 before the Lady Bucs scored five straight to reclaim a 23-20 lead, and they held on for a 25-23 victory.
• The third set was all CBU as the Lady Bucs jumped to a 19-4 lead as they cruised to a 25-9 win to clinch the sweep. CBU hit .464 in the set.
KEY STATS:•
Alexis Gillis (Corpus Christi, Texas/Carroll HS) collected match-highs of 15 kills, 12 digs and three aces, hitting .333.

Brinsley Cooper (Rossville, Ind./Rossville HS) pounded 12 kills and hit .409 with two blocks.

Mary Kathryn Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) hit .875 with seven kills in eight tries.

Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS) dished out 42 assists.
•
Blythe Clausen (Hendersonvile, Tenn./Pope John Paul II HS) matched Gillis with 12 digs.
