CARROLLTON, Ga.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs dished out 17 assists on 19 made baskets as they picked up their second straight Gulf South Conference road win Thursday night as they topped West Georgia 59-54.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Lady Bucs (4-4, 2-3 GSC) jumped to a quick 10-2 lead in the first six minutes, capped by a
Samantha Reeves (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) layup with 4:30 remaining in the first quarter.
• UWG (2-9, 2-3) answered with a 14-3 run, taking a 16-13 lead on a Katrina Littlepage free throw with 6:44 remaining in the second quarter.Â
• CBU regained the lead for good late in the first half, scoring the final seven points of the half in what became a 15-2 run capped by a
Madison Luckett (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) triple that gave them a 33-23 lead with 7:02 remaining in the third quarter.
• Three different Wolves hit three-pointers in a 9-2 burst that brought them within 35-32 on a Bre'ana Singleton three with 3:30 remaining in the third quarter.
• Luckett and
Mikaela Blissett (Oran, Mo./Scott County Central HS) made two layups each in an 8-0 CBU run to answer, giving the Lady Bucs their largest lead of the game at 43-32 on a Blissett layup with 1:08 remaining in the third quarter.
• The Lady Bucs never allowed UWG closer than five points again as they salted away the victory.
KEY STATS:•
Rachel Lee (Jackson, Tenn./Jackson Christian School) scored 15 points as she sank 3-of-3 three-pointers and 6-of-6 free throws.

Ashley Schaefer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore HS) added 14 points with five assists and four rebounds.
• Reeves added 14 with four rebounds and three assists.
• Luckett grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds to go with seven points.

Courtney Banks (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) dished out a season-high six assists with five points and four rebounds.
• The Lady Bucs shot 45.2 percent (19-of-42) from the floor, including 38.5 percent (5-of-13) from three-point range.
• UWG was 35.5 percent (22-of-62) overall and 29 percent (9-of-31) from beyond the arc.
• The Lady Bucs out-rebounded UWG 36-33, but UWG held a 12-5 edge in offensive boards and forced 10 CBU turnovers while committing five.
