Breanna Ridgell (Memphis, Tenn., White Station HS) broke the school record for career steals, but visiting West Florida out-scored the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs 37-22 in the second half as they claimed a 63-51 win Thursday night at Canale Arena.

Courtney Banks (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) capped a 10-2 burst with a triple that gave them a 29-24 lead with 25 seconds remaining in the first half.
UWF (17-5, 14-4) took the lead for good with a 17-2 run early in the second haf, capped by a Jasmine Wigfall layup that gave them a 47-37 lead with 10:29 remaining. The Lady Bucs whittled the lead back to 50-47 when
Rachel Lee (Jackson, Tenn./Jackson Christian School) sank a pair of free throws with 7:38 remaining, but the Argos answered with an Alyssa Dupree-Moore three-pointer at the end of the shot clock and CBU never came closer than four points again.
Ridgell scored 21 points to lead the Lady Bucs, bringing her career total to 1,463 points. Ridgell trails head coach Sarah Condra (1999-04) by 43 points, as Condra scored 1,506 points. Ridgell also collected six rebounds and a game-high five steals, giving her 183 career steals, surpassing the previous record of 180 held by Taneisha Lenon (1996-00).
Taylor Pugh (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.
Courtney Meyer paced the Argos with 16 points. Brianna Williams scored 15 with five assists, and Jasmine Wigfall scored 12 with 10 rebounds. Toni Brewer hauled in a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Lady Bucs shot 31 percent (18-of-58) from the floor, including just 26.9 percent (7-of-26) in the second half. UWF finished 35.8 percent (24-of-67) for the game and out-rebounded CBU 51-36, including a 17-7 edge in offensive boards. CBU forced 11 turnovers while committing 10.
The Lady Bucs return to action Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they host Valdosta State.
