PENSACOLA, Fla.-The Christian Brothers University Bucs scored first in both games, but No. 25 West Florida swept Friday's doubleheader from the Bucs 3-1 and 6-2.
GAME 1:WHAT HAPPENED:The Argos scored a pair of runs in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and claim a 3-1 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Bucs (6-6, 2-3 GSC) struck first in the top of the fifth inning.
Charles Kelly (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) was hit by a pitch, moved to second on a
Stephen Joe (Madison, Miss./Ridgeland HS) sacrifice bunt and scored on a
Josh Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) single to left to give the Bucs a 1-0 lead.
• The Argos answered in the bottom of the inning when they cashed in four singles for a run.
• The Argos scored the winning runs in the bottom of the sixth. After back-to-back singles to start the inning, they sacrificed the runners to second and third. A wild pitch scored the winning run, and another sacrifice bunt set the final margin at 3-1.
KEY STATS:•
Mac Cooley (Bartlett, Tenn./Horn Lake HS) went 1-for-4 with a double.

Myles Holliman (Germantown, Tenn./Germantown HS) and
Cameron Coker (Germantown, Tenn./Germantown HS) also went 1-for-4.

Josh Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) was 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Jack Parker (Shreveport, La./Evangel Christian Academy) took the loss despite allowing three runs in five and a third innings, scattering nine hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

Michael Lartigue (Southaven, Miss./Southaven HS) threw two and two-thirds scoreless innings, allowing two walks, one intentional, with two strikeouts.
GAME 2:WHAT HAPPENED:The Bucs scored two runs in the top of the first, but the Argos outscored them 6-0 the rest of the way to claim a 6-2 win and sweep the doubleheader.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Bucs scored two runs in the top of the first inning.
Mickey Smith (Arlington, Tenn./Arlington HS) led off with a single up the middle but was erased when Holliman grounded into a force play.
Joe Mattson (Nashville, Tenn./Franklin Road Academy) reached on a fielding error, and Coker sacrificed them to second and third. Cooley followed with a two-run single through the left side to give the Bucs an early 2-0 lead.
• The Argos answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning, on three walks, an error and two singles.
• UWF added a run in the third on a hit batter, a stolen base, a sacrifice bunt and a wild pitch.
• The Argos tacked on another in the fourth on three singles, setting the final margin at 6-2.
KEY STATS:• Smith went 1-for-3.
• Coker was 1-for-2.
• Cooley went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Taylor Seaman (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) allowed two runs in five and two-thirds innings of relief, allowing four hits and two walks against two strikeouts.
WHAT'S NEXT:The Bucs and Argos meet again tomorrow at noon for the final game of the series. The Bucs' next home game is set for next Saturday, March 7, at noon as they host Delta State for a doubleheader.
