SEARCY, Ark.-Host Harding swept a doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Wednesday afternoon, winning the opener 6-3 before claiming a 10-1 win in the nightcap.
GAME 1:WHAT HAPPENED:Harding (6-14) used a three-run fourth inning to break open what had been a 1-1 tie and win the first game 6-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• Harding struck first in the bottom of the second inning with a run on a one-out rally with a double and a single.
• CBU (4-15) tied the game in the top of the third.
Leigh Ward (Oriental, N.C./Pamlico HS) legged out an infield single and stole second. After
Jennifer Gonzalez (Covina, Calif./Charter Oak HS) walked,
Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) singled Ward home to tie the gmae at one.
• The Lady Bisons used two singles, a walk and a double to score three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 4-1 lead.
• Harding extended its lead to 6-1 with two runs in the sixth on a single and a pair of doubles.
• The Lady Bucs shaved the final margin to three runs with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh.
Gabrielle Sereika (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas Institute) led off with a single, and pinch-runner
Alexis Seward (Chino, Calif./Chino HS) moved to second when Ward reached on an error. After Seward stole third, she and Ward executed a double-steal, scoring Seward and moving Ward to second. Gonzalez followed with an RBI double to right-center to score Ward.

Taylor Rosa-Ramon (Ewa Beach, Hawaii/James Campbell HS) went 2-for-3.
• Gonzalez went 1-for-2 with two walks, a double and one RBI.
• Ward went 1-for-3 with a steal and two runs scored.

Amy Gracia (Fontana, Calif./International Polytechnic HS) went 1-for-1 with a walk and a sacrifice bunt.
GAME 2:WHAT HAPPENED:The Lady Bisons scored in three of the four innings they batted as they cruised to a 10-1 win in the nightcap.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Lady Bisons used a walk, a sacrifice bunt, an error and a pair of singles to plate two runs in the bottom of the first.
• Harding used three singles and three walks to score three runs in the bottom of the second inning.
• The Lady Bisons put it out of reach in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on two doubles, three singles and an error.
• CBU scored in the top of the fifth.
Ali Hare (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida Baker HS) singled to left-center. After moving to second on a Ward grounout, she scored on a Gonzalez RBI double to set the final margin.
KEY STATS:• Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with an RBI double.
• Oyhenart went 1-for-3.
• Hare was 1-for-2 with a run.
WHAT'S NEXT:The Lady Bucs hit the road this weekend to play a GSC series at No. 21 North Alabama. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 4 p.m., with a single game set for 1 p.m. Sunday. Their next home game is Saturday, March 21, when they host No. 2 Valdosta State for a 1 p.m. twinbill.
