MEMPHIS-No. 11 Alabama-Huntsville scored four or more runs in an inning twice in each game as they swept a doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Saturday afternoon.
GAME 1:WHAT HAPPENED:The Lady Chargers (31-9, 18-6 GSC) scored four runs in the first and four more in the sixth in a 9-1 win in the opener.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• UAH opened the game with two singles and two doubles in the first four batters, adding another run on a groundout after two more batters walked.
• The Lady Chargers scored another run in the top of the third on a pair of singles.
• UAH tacked on four more in the top of the sixth on a walk, four singles and a double.
• CBU (9-34, 2-21) scored a run in the bottom of the sixth to set the final margin.
Alexis Seward (Chino, Calif./Chino HS) hit a one-out double and moved to third when
Amy Gracia (Fontana, Calif./International Polytechnic HS) reached on an error. Seward scored as she and Gracia successfully executed a double-steal.
KEY STATS:•
Leigh Ward (Oriental, N.C./Pamlico HS) went 2-for-2.

Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice bunt and a walk.
GAME 2:WHAT HAPPENED:The Lady Bucs scored first, but UAH exploded for 11 runs in the third and fourth innings to claim a 12-1 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• CBU opened the scoring in the bottom of the first. Oyhenart led off with a walk and moved to second on a foulout.
Taylor Rosa-Ramon (Ewa Beach, Hawaii/James Campbell HS) sacrificed her to third, and she scored on a
Lauren Provence (Millington, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) single through the left side.
• The Lady Chargers took the lead for good with a five-run third inning, capitalizing on two walks, an error, a single, a double, a triple and a Kaitlyn Bannister home run.
• UAH added six more in the fourth on two walks and five singles.
• The Lady Chargers set the final margin in the top of the fifth with a run on a double and a single.
KEY STATS:•
Jennifer Gonzalez (Covina, Calif./Charter Oak HS) went 1-for-2.

Ali Hare (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida Baker HS) hit a pinch-hit double and stole third in the fifth inning.
• Provence was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
