Poor Finishing Sinks Lady Bucs in Overtime

MONTEVALLO, Ala.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs out-shot host Montevallo 18-3, but the hosts scored an overtime goal in the 93rd minute Sunday afternoon to hand the Lady Bucs a 1-0 loss, their first of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Neither side could find the net in the first 90 minutes.
• The Falcons (1-2-2) struck for the game-winner in the third minute of overtime. UM goalkeeper Katie Pearson sent a long punt down the field. After CBU failed to clear the ball, Montevallo's Abby West won a loose ball and fired a quick shot into the net for the golden goal.

Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) took a game-high five shots for CBU.
