• Miller scored three baskets in quick succession to bring the Bucs within five points at 11-6, but the Statesmen answered with a 5-0 burst and CBU never cme closer than eight points again.
• DSU closed the game on a 19-2 run as they stretched out the final margin over the final eight minutes.

COACH MIKE NIENABER'S THOUGHTS:
"There's really not much you can say. You read the stats, it says it all. It was just brutal. The thing is, we hung in there, it was just as bad the first half as it was the second half and we were only down eight. I thought something's gotta warm up a little bit. They do a great job defensively, but you got good looks and somebody's gotta step up and make a shot. They weren't guarding us on free throws and we were 5-for-14."

"A lot of the game was played at about 8 to 10 to 12 points. Defensively I thought for the most part we hung in there. I thought we ran out of gas at the end."

"They're doubling the low post, somebody's got to get the ball and make an open shot."

"Jordan Miller did a great job. He was able to maneuver in there a little bit. We've seen that a few games this year where Jordan got a little more room to operate than they're giving Adam."

"I think we battled for 25, 30 minutes and we just couldn't make any headway. We just couldn't get anything going offensively."

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Bucs return to action Thursday night at 7 p.m. as they host West Alabama.
