MEMPHIS-No. 22 Delta State shot 58 percent from the floor as they pulled away to a 75-53 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Lady Bucs (7-12, 5-10 GSC) led 4-2 after more than six minutes as both teams struggled early.
• DSU (15-3, 12-3) used back-to-back Alondreaq Rush threes to spark a 14-4 finish to the quarter, giving DSU a 16-8 edge after one.
• The Lady Statesmen pulled away early in the second half, using an 11-2 burst to open a 47-30 lead on a Chelsey Rhodes layup with 4:27 remaining in the third quarter. CBU never came closer than 14 points again.
KEY STATS:•
Ashley Schaefer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore HS) led the Lady Bucs with 17 points, four assists and two steals.

Courtney Banks (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) added 12.

Rachel Lee (Jackson, Tenn./Jackson Christian School) scored nine.
• The Lady Bucs shot 37.5 percent (18-of-48) for the game, including 40 percent (6-of-15) from three-point range.
• DSU was 58.2 percent (32-of-55) overall, including 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from beyond the arc.
• Delta State out-rebounded the Lady Bucs 31-27, but CBU held a 9-7 edge in offensive boards. CBU committed 12 turnovers to the Lady Statesmen's 10.
