Lady Bucs Tie Blazers 2-2

VALDOSTA, Ga.-The Christian Brothers University Lady BUcs scored two goals just 12 seconds apart in the first two minutes Sunday afternoon at Valdosta State, but the host Blazers rallied to tie the game at 2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Ashton White (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) put the Lady Bucs (4-9-1, 4-5-1 GSC) on the board just 59 seconds into the contest when she scored unassisted.
• Only 12 seconds later, Sinead Tierney (Winford, England/St. Nicholas Catholic HS) found the net as she powered her shot past the Valdosta (1-9-4, 1-5-3) goalkeeper and into the net.
• The Blazers scored in the 27th minute as Brittney Benedict scored unassisted from 30 yards away.
• Valdosta equalized in the 66th minute as Riley Tennant scored off a cross from Morgan Haase.
• From there, neither side would find the net again.

KEY STATS:
• CBU out-shot the Blazers 14-10, including a 6-5 edge in shots on goal.
• Emily Wragg (Nottingham, England/The Becket School) made three saves for CBU, while Alyssa Curtis stopped four shots for the Blazers.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs return to action next Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they visit Union. They wrap up the regular season Wednesday, Oct. 26, when they host North Alabama at 5 p.m.
