LIVINGSTON, Ala.-Host West Alabama swept a three-set match from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Saturday morning.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• CBU (10-7, 5-5 GSC) jumped to a quick 4-1 lead, but the Tigers (12-7, 5-5) quickly tied it and the teams traded points deep into the set. UWA took control with a 5-1 burst, taking a 19-16 edge, and then they scored four of the last five to win 25-20.
• The Tigers used a 10-point run to spoil a 14-10 CBU lead and flip it to a 20-14 Tiger lead in the second set, and they went on to win 25-18.
• UWA jumped to a 9-1 lead and never trailed in the third set, never allowing the Lady Bucs closer than three points in a 25-19 win.
KEY STATS:

Emma Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn./East Hamilton HS) led CBU with nine kills and three aces to go with five digs.

Mary Kathryn Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) logged eight kills and three blocks.

Brinsley Cooper (Rossville, Ind./Rossville HS) hit .313 with seven kills.
•
Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS) had team-highs of 27 assists and eight digs.

The Lady Bucs start the second half of the GSC schedule Tuesday night as they visit Shorter at 5 p.m. Their next home match is Friday night, Oct. 21, when they host Union at 7 p.m.
